The principle objective of
the Malaysian Institute of Taxation (MIT) is to train
and build up a pool of qualified tax personnel as well
as to foster and maintain the highest standard of professional
ethics and competency among its members. One avenue
of producing qualified tax personnel is through professional
examinations. As such, MIT conducted its eight professional
examination in December 1995. To date, the MIT has successfully
conducted seven examinations. The professional examination
also seeks to overcome the present shortage of qualified
tax practitioners in the country. |
